Our Journey

Green Leaf Group of Companies began its operations in the year 1986. The Team is led by Mr. Sanjay V Sheth ~ An Engineering Graduate in Polymer Sciences from India and UK.

As a designer of SPMs (Special Purpose Machines), creating values for the end-products, increasing machine efficiency, saving energy and having an ease in operation – were predominantly his focused area then

Two of his first few machines successfully designed, built and commissioned over hundreds of installations in India, China , Vietnam and Bangladesh are:

Fibrillators: To fibrillate HDPE/PP Oriented tapes to impart pliability for manufacturing ropes, twines and similar plastic products.
Micro-Perforators: To perforate different types of webs (Woven fabric, Paper, Composites, etc.) for imparting breathability & proprietary packaging designs.

Group’s foray into Recycling of polymers began in the year 1998 when P.E.T. Lumps, the waste generated from Polyester Fiber making process were intensely researched to study its application and its commercial usage, successfully. It was exciting times when Indian economy was opening up to embrace technological advancements and updating its Small and Medium Scale enterprises by new investments, newer technologies and CAPEX.

In the year 1999, Polytechnologies, the Group’s first company made the first commercial lot of PET Bottle Flakes manufactured out of used and discarded PET Bottles. It took around four months to manufacture the historic first container of 12mm washed, clean and dried PET Flakes which was exported to Ningbo, China to become the first Indian company to export PET Flakes to China.
